Art Business Instagram part 2 – Review.
Instagram Round Up.
Our reviews seek to help our readers and clients to find the best sources of information and advice on the internet, we often focus on books and podcasts. However, it is clear however that Social Media is the newest king on the block as both an information source and an inspiration for ideas and suggestions. That’s why we expand our reviews to include an annual round of Art business focused accounts across Instagram to evaluate a handful that fell across our FYP page this last couple of weeks. We have a range of subjects this year including art professors with a clear focus on the business side and education in it, to artists sharing their journey.
Our method for this review was simple, we selected a range of new accounts that we previously had not followed that fell across our Department45 Instagram page, we reviewed their latest ten reels or posts, for content, and will give a summary of the content, along with a vibe and general recommendation to follow them and why.
The opinions are entirely our own and your milage may vary depending on your favorite content type and personal interests. A follow can´t hurt, and supporting the community members is important.
Influencers and Influence?

Starting strong in our opinion we have, Prof. Stephen, is a strong voice, his videos include a face front camera talking head, where is clearly and focused goes through a variety of topics related specifically to Art Business, how to get started, what order to do things in and so forth. He clearly has a background in sharing information well and clearly and uses it here to full effect. He will use a list model often to share his topics and outline both good to know and what to avoid about setting up his art business. He does have a course that he´s inviting people to use or sign up for to be aware but the content he shares has a lot of value in my opinion as it´s very much the same as what I seek to share and educate on to the community.
Give him a follow if you´re starting to sell your art and looking to take it into a business or thinking about it.

Theartcoachingclub, creates a range of educational content as well as sketches and story time videos, that discusses both the business part of being an artist, as the creator is. The Content is both focused on how to, best practice and education, mixed with some funny sketches and topical humor, while also telling stories of their own experiences, and what to do in that situation. The example we saw was of a lost and damaged shipment, with a clear list of what to do in the event of the same happening to you. The user also has a course or training option they are looking to share through this account.
The Mixture of stories, humor and good content relevant conversations makes this a great follow for art business focused.

The creator behind thetime.art knows their stuff. The videos they are posting are educational, giving a deep sense of both business and industry knowledge. The content is solid and extensive with long form, 2–3-minute videos covering a range of areas, from sales to social media captions to considerations for what format your artworks take. These videos leave me in no doubt about the message and the experience. They are very wordy and quiet long in their delivery. While frankly I love that. I love a thorough discussion and outline of a topic I could see this being a challenge to reaching many of our younger creators due to the lack of general focus beyond 10 seconds. I appreciate the great content and the eloquence it´s delivered with from an experienced voice.
I believe a good follow for industry insider voice.

Anna Bailey is an American artist, that shares on her page her journey as well as educational content, mixed. This educational content is presented in a format that is interesting where she is presenting the good and less good way about a given topic. These include how to choose what market to sell at, and similar topics. They clearly are hands on and experienced in the information they are sharing. The content feels genuine and fun. I appreciate they also share updates on what fairs and markets they are going to as well as what they are working on. The creator also has a course they are selling like most of those we´re looking at here.
I believe the account is worth a follow for those that appreciate a hands-on artist and the information they can share of their own journey.

The creator behind this account uses this account for a range of content. The videos reviewed included some educational content regarding how to sell art online, as well as a couple of interesting story time videos about a museum and the art scene in the Hamptons in New York, while also doing a lot of content about their own art coaching business, called Seen. The account seems to be a support for much of that other business as this was referenced numerous times in the account.
I feel the creator is interesting and fun but the art business content on this account wasn´t too heavy and may be worth a follow for the interesting history they shared.

Grace.davies.art has some great variety content, where they show a range of their own artwork and creations, along with how-to and educational pieces on art and art meanings. The art and drawing tutorials are a personal favorite of mine and are taught with a great delivery and focus. I appreciate content that shares and brings awareness to events locally and around. They have a video on upcoming art exhibits in London for the summer of 2026 and I though that was a great reason to follow them not only for people in London.
A great multifaceted content from a very sympatric artist – creator worth a follow.

This creator goal is to show their coaching work for artists and creators, and this shows in the content. Which is a mixture of their own coaching pitches and content, which is educational and well shared. The focus on the account towards the creators, workshops and paywalled content does mean that it seems focused on those users that are subscribed. The other content includes educational contents for business owners which is good and correct, but there are other accounts that do more of this kind of content. An amount of the reviewed content did also seem to focus regionally to new York in the US.
Worth a follow if you´re in the us or new York.
Summary
We love the community of creators and knowledge sharing that social media gives us to have and create. While we spend our time on the apps and need to limit that generally we want to make sure that the creators we´re following and listening to provide the best value for time that we can get, and we find with those reviewed above that most provide a great insight through their own knowledge experience and creative ways of sharing. Use your social media to both entertains and educate, build networks, and share to find your audience. These are the best features where it provides the most value.
